Drew Rosenhaus is reporting on twitter that Saints linebacker Dan Morgan is retiring. Morgan was expected to compete for a starting spot at outside linebacker. Morgan currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Morgan returned to the Saints after being signed by trhe Saints in free agency last season, and then retiring. Morgan has always struggled with injuries, and has never started a full season in his career.
"Dan Morgan has informed the Saints that he has decided to retire due continued injuries. Dan would like to thank the Saints for the chance to come back this year, but injuries would not let him continue his career. His decision is final and he will be moving on to focuson his restaraunt business in Charlotte. Dan also wants to be able to spend more time with his wife and children." Rosenhaus added via twitter.
