Raiderbeat.com is reporting that the Oakland Raiders have signed free agent quarterback Charlie Frye. Last season Frye started one game as a reserve for the Seahawks. He was traded to the Seahawks in 2007 after losing out to Derek Anderson.
Fryes best season came in 2006 with the Browns when he threw for 2454 yards in 13 starts. In 2005 he had 1002 yards in five starts. In 2007 he had 32 yards in one start with the Browns. After that he was traded.
The Addition of Frye means the Raiders have six quarterbacks on their roster. JaMarcus Russell and Jeff Garcia are the most likely to make the roster. Frye will probably make it as the third quarterback. Danny Southwick, Bruce Gradkowski, and Andrew Walter will likely be released.
