The Edmonton Eskimos defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bomber 19-17 thursday in a sloppy game. Former New York Jets and San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Ricky Ray lead the Eskimos to a slim victory.
Ray attempted 41 passes completing 29 of them for 318 yards and one touchdown and an interception. The star of the game was running back Fred Reid, who had a short stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2005.
Reid rushed 13 times for 92 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort. Reid has rushed 154 times for 1071 yards and six touchdowns, with a spectacular 7.0 yard average per rush. Reid has not fumbled once in his CFL career.
